more from Vivid Sydney

Just a couple more pics from Vivid Sydney. The light show projected on the Opera House sails was amazing. It must have been fun for the light designers to play with the Opera House.

There were other light installations all over the Rocks (one of the many neighborhoods in Sydney). I think there were about 40 light installations. We had seen this "school of fish" light installation when it wasn't on--so I really wanted to go back to see it when it was lit. Not as cool as I thought it would be, but still sort-of-cool.

And this light installation was above a walkway. You could walk under it without noticing it.

It was fun to check out what the artists did with light. I was particularly impressed by the light installations that required creativity and engineering. Like the giant "pen" that shoots a beam of light onto a white board that lets you draw on it. The light leaves a faint image for about 3 seconds. I loved that it was interactive (a huge line of kids wanted to try it) too.

Watch the video below for more lights!
