I didn't actually take this picture in order to sum up my initial thoughts. But, after downloading this picture from my camera, I realize that it does. More details later.
I'm trying to figure out the reasoning. Does it have to do with the asian guy in the light and a weird version of the target sign - like everything is similar, but not quite the same?
Yes! It's the Target sign. It seems so familiar, and yet it's not quite the same. The random people in the picture also seem familiar--in terms of the diversity. But people are dressed a little differently.
Victoria--The saddest thing about the Target is that it's not nearly as good as the Target in the US. I think it must be owned by the same corporation--but somehow didn't get translated as nicely in Australia. Oddly, I think Woolworth (which doesn't exist in the US anymore) is doing much better.

I do love Target. However, I think seeing one in another country -- even one that's on the similar side -- would freak me out.
