random observation: tortillas

We knew ahead of time that we would be seriously hurting for some Mexican food. However, we were happy to see that most of the grocery stores had a couple shelves that were considered the "Mexican" food section. Sadly, we have yet to find corn tortillas. However, we could at least buy some flour tortillas from good ol' Old El Paso.

Then, we looked more closely at the package.

We became highly suspicious of what these tortillas were made of--if they are good until August 2011 (almost 10 months from when we bought them). They did taste a bit...full of preservatives. But, considering that we have no other options, we ate them anyway.
