Today was the day for Big Kaiju to face the scorch trials. Many who try have failed. And many who failed have been banished. Others call it the flu shot.
To summarize: a legally sane person must willingly choose to get stabbed in the arm by a man with a scary lab coat while who knows what virus is injected into them.
This is what Petty Officer Big Kaiju faced.
And I am proud to announce that she passed the test with flying colors and has thus been re-promoted to Petty Office First Class once again.
I must confess, it look bleak for a minute or two back there, but the promise of chocolate proved to be to great of a motivator. So much that it prevented tears. At the end, while she walked over the corpses of the fallen she announced that it didn't even hurt. Only she knows if that was true.
