Curses!
Today at 1500 hours I was scheduled to take Petty Officer First Class Big-Kaiju to dentist appointment. The plan was to load both her and Seaman Little-Kaiju in the U-Boat and arrive on time to process insurance red tape paperwork. But Alas, upon loading Little-Kaiju and closing the door I realized that the U-Boat operation keys where still inside the home vessel.
We were locked out at sea. Again.
With fortune I had just acquired a cell phone communication device (a hand me down from our most gracious Fleet Admiral) so I was able to call and cancel dentist appointment. However, now I had to entertain the crew all afternoon without transportation.
We ended up waiting for public transport to take us to code name Parque-del-Techito where the crew could unwind and practice their battle skills. I must confess that there were many other higher ranked seamen at the location that the only battle skill they practiced was Run-For-Cover tactic.
We had dinner at Red Robin and then received most appreciated message from Admiral that she was back at home vessel and would come and pick us up.
