it's been awhile

I have been busy and a bit lazy since we moved back to Seattle, so apologies if you've been anxiously awaiting a new blog post. We're currently staying in temporary housing in Redmond (a suburb of Seattle), graciously provided by Microsoft. It is an adjustment, being in such a quiet suburb after living in a vibrant city.

We really miss Sydney.

But, there are definite benefits to being back in the US. For example, Fede's mom came to visit us (more specifically, came to visit Bambina).

We will eventually move back into our house in Seattle. But since we're currently living in temporary housing, this seemed to be an excellent time to do a quick kitchen remodel. The main thing we really need is a dishwasher installed. But as is typical, scope creep has occurred, and we're getting everything replaced--except for the stove. Here's a picture of the countertop getting dismantled. I love the fact that there was this super pink countertop under the white tile--no wonder they covered that up.

Bambina has been growing rapidly. And as some of my friends had warned me, she keeps changing things up on us. Lately, she's been twisting herself in this position.

I really need to take more pictures. I even have a fancy camera to take pictures with. But, I have a lazy disposition...

Fede's been busy at work. But, we did manage to take a short hike. Bambina did what she usually does when she's in the carrier--she zonked out.

That's about it for an update. I'll try to be better about taking more pictures. Although, I have no idea if we'll have exciting things to report. Maybe I'll just have to make something up.
