sculptures by the sea

Every year, there are sculptures placed along the cliff walk, between Bondi Beach and Tamarama Beach. We missed it last year, but this year we made it on the last weekend.

Our first stop was Waverly Cemetery. Okay, it's not part of the sculpture walk, but it is such a spectacular setting for a cemetery, I wanted to show it to Fede.

Then, we stopped at Bronte Beach. I love watching waves crash against rocks.

I also love how there are these beach pools in Sydney. I've never swum in one, but I think it must be really nice.

Eventually, we walked to Tamarama Beach, and saw our first sculptures. This turtle has a head that you can move (which is why you see some legs inside the turtle).

There were three of these heads, which remind me of the heads on Easter Island.

With some of the sculptures, it seems that the setting makes the sculpture that much more interesting.

This one had lots of people puzzling over it. Could it really be one, unbroken piece of metal that was twisted?

Perhaps the purpose of this sculpture was not to take pictures of our reflections, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

There were several sculptures that weren't particularly interesting to me. But there are always a few that made me stop and admire the artist's creativity.
